Unlimited Bloody Marys Hit Denver Sunday for the Festival's 10th Year

Unlimited Bloody Marys. On a Sunday afternoon. In one room, in the River North area, with more than 700 people all sipping, slurping, and arguing about who makes the best one in the city.

That is the whole deal. And this Sunday, Nov. 8, 2026, the Denver Bloody Mary Festival does it for the 10th year here in the Mile High.

The spot is Reelworks, 1399 35th Street, 80205. If that address rings a bell, it should. This event has basically lived there. Reelworks hosted it in 2017, 2018, and 2019, then again every year from 2022 through 2025. So this is not some pop-up experiment. It is a decade-deep tradition that knows exactly where it belongs.

What you actually get for the ticket

Here is the thing about this festival. It is not a "buy a drink, buy another drink" situation. Your ticket is the drinks. Unlimited Bloody Marys, pours from local makers, food tastes, spirit samples, and (this is the fun part) one vote for the People's Choice Award.

So you are not just drinking. You are judging. You walk the room, you taste, and you pick your favorite. Meanwhile a separate judging panel crowns the official Best Bloody Mary in Denver. Two titles up for grabs. One of them is in your hands.

There are two tasting sessions, and you have to be 21 and up. No getting around that one.

General admission runs 12:15 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. and starts at $54.94 with fees baked in. If you want the jump, VIP gets you in early at 11:30 a.m. and runs through 2:30 p.m., starting at $73.07. That extra 45 minutes matters more than you think when 700 people are headed for the same celery sticks. Early access means you hit the best pours before the lines stack up.

Oh, and there are temporary tattoos and photo ops. Because nothing says "I made good Sunday decisions" like a tomato-themed tattoo and a picture to prove it.

Who is pouring

This is where it gets serious, because the lineup is stacked with real Denver names.

Highland Tavern is in. Bar Nun. Lucille's Creole Cafe, which, if you know Lucille's, you already know they do not play when it comes to brunch. The Glenn. Sassafras. Pier 8. The Lobby. Plus bottled and brand entries like GJ's Bloody Mary, LeeLee's Bloody Mary, and Zing Zang.

That is a lineup where the People's Choice vote is going to be genuinely hard. Lucille's bringing that New Orleans energy against a bar like Highland Tavern, which has built a real reputation on this exact drink. If you ask me, that is the matchup to watch.

And it is not only Bloody Marys. The food and beverage sampling partners fill in the rest of the afternoon. The Long Drink is there. BuzzBallz. RUNA. Denver Chip Co. Briste Foods. Good Day Chocolate. So you are not drinking spicy tomato on an empty stomach, which, trust me, is the move. (Hayley would want me to tell you that part. Eat something.)

Why this one is a big deal

Nationally, this festival is now in its 13th year, and in 2026 it travels to five cities. Denver is one of them, and Denver has been one of its steadier homes.

It has also picked up some national respect along the way. In past years it has been nominated among USA Today's Top 10 Specialty Food Festivals. That is not nothing. That is a tomato juice party in RiNo getting name-dropped next to foodie events from all over the country.

What most people do not realize is how the brunch-cocktail thing fits Denver specifically. This is a town that treats weekend brunch like a competitive sport. The patios, the live music spots, the breweries that lean into a Saturday afternoon. A Bloody Mary festival is just the logical boss level of a city that already does this every weekend.

And RiNo is the right place for it. This part of Denver has gone from warehouses to one of the most active stretches of the metro, with the kind of foot traffic and nightlife that pulls 700 people out on a Sunday without blinking. Worth noting if you are watching the area at all, because the energy that fills a room like Reelworks is the same energy that has kept property values moving up around it. People want to be where things are happening, and this neighborhood keeps giving them reasons.

The practical stuff

Quick recap so you do not miss it.

- When: Sunday, Nov. 8, 2026 - Where: Reelworks, 1399 35th Street, Denver, 80205 - VIP: 11:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., from $73.07 - General admission: 12:15 p.m. to 2:30 p.m., from $54.94 - Must be 21+

Your ticket covers unlimited Bloody Marys, food and spirit tastes, a temporary tattoo if you want one, photo ops, and that one People's Choice vote you get to cast.

So here is my honest take. If you have a Sunday free and you like a good Bloody Mary, this is a cheap date for what you get. Unlimited pours from some of the best bars in the city, a vote that actually counts, and a room full of people who take their brunch as seriously as you do.

Pick your champion. Cast your vote. And maybe send Lucille's up there against Highland Tavern and let the best celery win.
